Share Item in Find My: A New Feature in iOS 17

iOS 17 introduces a new feature that allows you to share items in the Find My app with up to 5 people. This enables them to view the item's location on a map. Importantly, borrowers will not receive tracking notifications as they move with the item.

Ensure your iOS device is updated to iOS 17 to utilize this feature. Your location information is kept anonymous and encrypted, prioritizing your privacy.

Resetting the Tracker:

If you find that the tracker is unable to connect to your iPhone or Apple device, please follow the operational instructions in the manual to reset the tracker. Once the reset is successful, you can then proceed with the connection.

Removing the Bound Tracker:

If you are not satisfied with the tracker, ensure to remove the bound tracker before returning it. Open the Find My app on your phone while the phone is connected to the tracker (within Bluetooth connection range). Select the corresponding tracker name, scroll down to the bottom, and click on "Remove Device." This will prevent the bound tracker from continuing to remind you, and the next user will be able to connect to the tracker without any issues.

Left-Behind Reminder:

When the smart card tracker is out of Bluetooth range, your iPhone will receive a notification reminding you of the last location before the disconnection. You can view the most recent location on the Find My app. This feature is provided without any monthly fees or subscriptions.
